“Inspiring!” was the word of the evening on
who were there to support their favorite teacher. Many viewers told me
that she had changed the way they draw. It was refreshing to be in a
gallery full of people smiling and enjoying the art rather than
scratching their heads in confusion. In Ms. Ivanova’s art work, you
can feel the flow of the ideas from the head to the hand in her fluid
lines. Each piece has a sense of playfulness and wit. The reception
was successful and because it was so easy for everybody to celebrate
the work of someone who inspires and enlightens.

It is not e Everyday an idea fulfills its destiny.

It is not everyday that someone rises above the crop

and becomes an Icon. But, as a great man once said,

“Nothing can stop an idea whose time has come,”

meant serious business. Just like 24 students of

Jo Peswani’s Current Topics in Fashion

Marketing meant when they produced

Icon on January 9th 2008.

Icon is not just a magazine, it’s an idea,

an opinion, a conversation, a voice,

a statement, an observation.
