Dye Gallery Fashion Show

Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale students and faculty gathered at the Mark K. Wheeler Art Gallery on July 30th, for a closing Dye Gallery Fashion Show. Faculty created artwork by using a dye sublimation technique, and collaborated with the Fashion Design Students to convert art into fashion. They created a total of 15 individual pieces. Dr. West and Mrs. Tatakis then had a wonderful idea of actually bringing art to life by developing a fashion show. Rachel Stone, project manager with the help of Fashion Honors and Fashion Show Production students worked very hard to produce a show as well as provide food and beverages for the guests. As the models walked to the beat of the music everyone joined in and socialized, while being surrounded by art!
